Rorkes Drift Lodge - Your Stay in Rorke's Drift

Rorkes Drift Lodge has chalets, twin rooms, and the Executive Suite. All rooms include a private bathroom, heating, free WiFi, a flat-screen TV, a minibar, and tea and coffee making equipment. Some rooms have balconies; the Executive Suite has a separate lounge with a large TV. Family rooms and ground-floor units are available. Chalets have kitchens for self-catering.

A full English or Irish breakfast is served daily, with warm dishes, fresh pastries, and drinks. Guests can eat on the deck overlooking the infinity pool or order breakfast in their room. Dinner can be booked at the lodge. The kitchen also prepares packed lunches and special-diet meals. Wine and champagne are available, and BBQ facilities are on site.

The grounds include a garden, a picnic area, an outdoor fireplace, and a sun terrace with valley views. The open-all-year outdoor infinity pool has sun loungers and umbrellas. Staff can arrange walking tours, hiking trips, cycling, horse riding, quad biking, and classes about local culture. Guided battlefield tours cover Isandlwana, Rorke's Drift, and Blood River; a full-day option with guide Thulani is available. Board games and puzzles are on site.

The lodge is a historic farmhouse in Rorke's Drift, South Africa, set above the battlefield area, with views toward Isandlwana. It sits near the Rorke's Drift Museum. The last 5 km to the property is a steep jeep track, so a 4x4 or high-clearance vehicle is recommended. Guests with a sedan can park in the secure museum parking lot and use the lodge's free pickup service. Free on-site parking and accessible parking are available.

Staff can arrange transfers from the museum, arrange tours, and serve early breakfasts for guests with early departures. Concierge service, daily housekeeping, laundry, ironing, and room service are available. Rooms have a safety deposit box, access is by key, and fire extinguishers are provided. Free WiFi, free private parking, and invoices are available. The lodge is non-smoking throughout, with a designated smoking area and family rooms.
